Joyce Johnson


Joyce Johnson is a national account manager with WW Grainger responsible for customer relationships in the oil and gas industry and is an active member of the African American Business Resource Group.   Prior to joining Grainger, she worked as an independent consultant serving public and private sector customers. Joyce begin her career in professional sports and later entered the telecommunications industry leading to a role as Sales Director in Global markets.

Joyce is a graduate of the historical Prairie View A&M University where she received a BA in Communications and holds a MBA in Global Markets.  She also pledged the undergraduate chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.

At a young age growing up in Galveston, Texas, she was taught to serve is the  greatest love of all.  Joyce has held several board positions; including Chairman of the Board for the Galveston County Gulf Coast Black Nurses Association, COO for the National Basketball Retired Players Association Miami, Founding member of the East Palo Alto Children's Foundation, the Bahamas Sports Foundation and served many others.

Passionate about mentorship and development of college students, Joyce plans to identity partners to support our chapter’s mission and student members. We look forward to her service as the VP of Business Development for the Houston Chapter.
